Passed away May 8th 2010
Michael Allen Finch Sr. was born to Everett and Katherine (Holsapple) Finch in Brainerd, Minn., on July 23, 1951. He passed away on May 8, 2010, in Hibbing, after a long battle with Pick's disease. He spent most of his adult life driving truck for companies here in Minnesota as well as in Alaska. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing and playing saxophone with his nephews and brother.
Michael is survived by his wife, Rachel; children, Jerreth and Katrina, of Bovey, Minn.; daughters, Michelle Hughes, of Baxter, Minn., Kristina Kummet, of Princeton, Minn., and Denise (Vince) Simenstad, of Brainerd, Minn.; son, Michael Allen Finch Jr., of Fairbanks, Alaska; eight granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; siblings, Carolyn (Jack) Strong, of Brainerd, Minn., Gayle (Douglas) Boucher, of Danville, Pa., Jeanette (Harvey) Kahn, Chugiak, Alaska, Louis (Deloris) Finch and Steven (Becky) Finch, both of Eagle River, Alaska, and Gary (Cindy) Finch, Brainerd, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Everett, Wayne and Curtis; and his grandson, Colton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
